Recently recieved my 1897 Marlin 22 back from the gunsmith , had it relined and a new 39 bolt and firing pin from Dick's Gun shop also. After 20 rounds fired it wouldn't extract. I looked and saw there was a burr at the top entrance of the chamber, where the firing pin hits.Easy fix. Break down the receiver, pull the bolt and the firing pin is in plain view laying in a groove along the top of the bolt. Remove the old broken firing pin, clean the groove and put in a bit of lube.
