From what I have read and experienced first hand, I do not believe that the 900 has more or worse stator issues than other bikes. I think the biggest issue is that most folks don't realize that the stator is only rated for 70 watts of additional load above stock.It is very likely the receiver in the hub thats bent from misalignment, this will have to be fixed to make the speedo cable spin. A quick check is to remove the cable from the hub and spin with your fingers while looking for movement on the speedo needle. If it moves, your problem is in the hub. If it dont move, it may be you cable.
